December 2012

Dear Loved Ones of Elder Wilkinson,

Your son has arrived in the North Carolina Charlotte Mission.  He has been assigned an outstanding companion to help him grow and develop as a missionary.  The people of North Carolina are wonderful and the members of the church love the missionaries.  We will work hard as a mission to assist him to become a successful servant of our Heavenly Father.

Your son will be serving in the Albemarle Ward area with Elder Osborne.

You may send letters and packages to him at the following address until you have been notified otherwise:

905 Chimneys Ln  #404
Albemarle, NC 28001

We love your son and look forward to serving with him.

Sincerely,

Ronald L. Craven
President

packages, mail and transfer info

MAILING POLICY - Please include the missionary’s FULL name on all correspondence. LETTERS AND PACKAGES: (Please note: Fed-Ex and UPS packages cannot be forwarded. Any mailed to the mission office by these methods will have to wait for hand delivery at Transfers, Zone Conferences or LTM’s.) You may use the NCCM office address for mail until you arrive in your first area and can then notify your family of your address. Based on a 6-week transfer cycle, we suggest the following: 1. Please retain as a future reference the transfer schedule below. 2. Missionaries being transferred are notified the Saturday before transfer day. They will inform you in their Monday email of their transfer. Please do not mail items this week. They will not know their new address until.. 3. The Monday following transfer day, your missionary will email you his/her new address. (Please inform others as you deem appropriate.) 4. Although mission needs create variances, most missionaries will be in a proselyting area an average of 4.5 -6 months. 5. Recognizing that in the short run, some mail, (from friends, extended family etc.), may still be mailed to the mission office inadvertently, we will seek to hand deliver those items at one of our regularly scheduled mission meetings. Arrival letter

Dear Missionary Loved Ones,
Your missionary son has arrived safely in North Carolina! He looks wonderful. We are especially grateful for the sacrifice and hard work that has brought him to serve. We will be gathering in the morning at the mission offices for breakfast and orientation meetings. During this time pictures will be taken and he will be assigned his trainer companion. Our office staff will email you copies of the pictures along with the name of his trainer and the address of his first area. This should arrive by Wednesday. Again thank you for sending us such a capable missionary.
                                              With Love,
                                                        Ronald L Craven,

Update and Airport phonecall

Jim appears to have enjoyed his time at the MTC. we got a few cards, but they just had one or two lines. He did request that we send him some mints as gum was not allowed. I sent him two big bags. mixed in was a ziploc with some baked goods. I hoped that the mints would not share their flavor with the goodies. haven't heard back on that. I did get an email where he thanked me for teaching him to do laundry, as not all the missionaries knew how. He did ask me to tell everyone thanks for the packages. So thank you to those of you who have sent packages. He called this morning at 6:20 A.M. he said he only had 4 minutes till he had to get on the plane, but he wanted to call and say hello. He was excited to be on his way to Charlotte.
